Kiddiccino
Run by young mums from the Island Bay Presbyterian Church, Kiddiccino offers mums and their kiddies a chance to hang out together and experience God’s wonderful world through play, stories, music, movement and other hands-on activities.
Kiddiccino runs every Monday morning during term time in the lounge from 10am til 12 noon. All parents/caregivers and preschool children are welcome.
It starts with Storytime at 10am, which includes a fairytale, a contemporary children's story and a bible story, read by a story teller. The story choice is aimed at the level of the children who are there on the day.
The music session starts at 10.30am and includes a mixture of your old favourites childhood songs as well as new ones.
Morning tea for the children is a simple affair with plain biscuits, fruit and crackers. Morning tea for the grown ups includes home baking and tea/plunger coffee!
Free playtime is set up into different areas of play for different age groups. There are bouncers and toys available for very young babies right through to ride on cars and scooters for older preschoolers.
Cost is $2 per family which goes towards morning tea.
