Venue Hire

Our function rooms are popular for events from birthday parties to meetings or classes. Bookings:  Call us about a regular or casual booking on 383 8699 or office@ibpc.org.nz.
This is the booking form to use.   Here is the safety and emergency info you will need to read.
Spaces for hire:
Hall (150 people). 10 x 15m. Clean, well lit, ventilated. Direct kitchen access.
Lounge (50 people). 8 x 6.2m + 6 x 3.5m annex.Opens to north-facing fenced deck and grassy space. Light, warm and well ventilated. Direct kitchen access.
Church (seats 200). Kitchen: free with venue hire and equipped with large capacity oven, steriliser, microwave, fridge, Zip hot water and crockery/cutlery.
Nordmeyer Garden. A memorial space that includes a children’s play area. This is at the south end of the church property.
Hire Rates 2018:
For Hall OR Lounge
Community and non-profit groups: $16.96 + gst / hour for  ($19.50 gst incl.)
Parties (you get Hall plus Lounge) and fee-paying classes (per space): $30.00 + gst / hour for  ($34.50 gst incl.)
Commercial use: $30.00 + gst / hour   ($34.50 gst incl.) OR $50 + gst/hr for the full Centre.
Church: $25.00 + gst per hour. Weddings and funerals – see below.
Resources for hire:

Tables and chairs are included in your hire fee: 100 chairs, 14 trestle tables. Trestle tables: $5/table for off-site events. Own transport required.
Pre-school party ride-ons: $15 for 10 (damages must be paid for).
Data projector, whiteboard, sound system (church or lounge), free wifi.
The church premises are alcohol-free, however members or friends of the congregation may apply to Parish Council to have this lifted for champagne and wine only.

Here’s some info on what sound equipment and support we have. A data-projector and sound system are available in both the church and lounge.
Weddings:
Our church is the perfect venue for your wedding. A connection to this church isn’t a requirement. Come and experience its beautiful light space with rich, warm wood tones and a very welcoming feel.
If you have a date in mind, contact us today and we’ll let you know if it’s available. You may engage your own pastor for the ceremony. We ask that he or she is a Christian pastor and that they contact Minister Nathan Parry well in advance of your wedding.
Hire of our facilities for weddings can include the following:
Church: $250 + gst
Hall/Lounge: $30 per hour + gst for both
Minister: $300 including preparatory meetings ($250 for a wedding at another venue).
Organist: $150 including rehearsal and service
Sound Technician: $175 including rehearsal, service, set up and use of church sound equipment. Data projector available. Please bring your own laptop for any visual content.
Funerals:
We are available to discuss your and your family’s needs and can tailor a service to your wishes.
Minister’s service: $300+gst
Church : $250+gst
Cleaning: A charge of $30 + gst applies, if catering is provided at the premises.
Sound technician: $150 paid direct. Organist: $150 paid direct.
Lounge: $16.96/hr+gst for your after-service gathering. The lounge is warm and light.
Kitchen: Fully equipped and caterer friendly.
